TacTiles replace adhesives when used to install Interface Commercial modular carpet with GlasBac and GlasBacRE backings only. TacTiles use a small quantity of a pressure sensitive adhesive, applied on one side of a polyester film, to connect Interface Commercial carpet modules together to form a stable surface over almost any hard surface.
Convenience - With nearly no VOCs (volatile organic compounds), InterfaceFlor Glasbac and GlasbacRE can be installed at any time using TacTiles, even when associates are in the building. There are nearly no detectable emissions or odours. Ease of Use - Using TacTiles creates a durable installation without permanent adhesion, making it easy to remove, replace and recyle. Closing the loop - TacTiles can simply be recycled along with the InterfaceFlor Glasbac and GlasbacRE carpet tile itself. Surface preparation requirements for installations with TacTiles are the same as those for installations where adhesives would be used. TacTiles are generally resistant to both moisture and temperature. TacTiles that become wet should be allowed to air-dry before being used. Refer to the installation guide for further information.
