Durasein® solid surface sheets and shapes have inspired some of the most prominent creative firms in the industry and have been fashioned by top-notch fabricators in more than 55 countries on 6 continents.
The product is acrylic based and does not contain Silica. Unlike real stone and engineered stone, solid surface is not rigid or brittle. The acrylic polymer base in Durasein means it can be made malleable via thermoforming, allowing fabricators to create smooth, curved 3D forms and to seam pieces uniformly.
The products can be used for counter-tops, moulded into sink and bathroom sanitary-ware, and generally used for architecturally creative shapes to bring inspirational designs into indoor environments such as lobbies, reception areas, etc.
The product is non-porous (minmising any risk for bacteria, mold, or other fungus to grow).
The surface is highly durable and easy to clean, with no sealing or special chemicals needed to maintain its visual properties and feel. With a wide variety of colors and patterns to choose from, you can even achieve the look of real stone, in a form that is much easier and safer to work with.
Durasein® comes with the following environmental accreditation benefits:

Installation of Durasein must be done by a professional benchtop fabricator, adhering to the standards in the Durasein Fabrication and Installation Guide. Cleaning with soapy water or ammonia-based cleansers will remove most dirt and stains. Stubborn stains can be removed with a multi-surface cleaner, bleach-based cleansers or non-abrasive cleansers. Avoid allowing harsh chemicals to remain on your Durasein® surface and do not cut directly onto your Durasein surface.
