Product Description

Dezignatek offers a range of Eco Choice Aotearoa (ECA) certified Vinyl options from the Thermoform range. A range of solid colours of Thermoform Vinyl from Dezignatek can be  thermoformed onto a HDF substrate. Please note this excludes woodgrain.

Dezignatek Thermoform panels are made by wrapping vinyl film around the face and edges of an HDF MR drawer, door or panel to provide a seamless, durable and moisture-resistant finish. Thermoform is chip resistant unlike a lacquer finish. The back face is traditionally melamine. Dezignatek Thermoform in solid colours carry Environmental Choice accreditation when thermoformed onto 9-30mm HDF.

Technical and Environmental Benefits

  • Dezignatek ECA certified products can be used to claim points in Green Star NZ and Homestar projects. (refer to Green Building Info tab)
  • Dezignatek Thermoform Vinyl options have been awarded the Environmental Choice New Zealand (ECA) licence. They further comply with the low formaldehyde emission level E1 defined in AS/NZS 1859 and satisfy the requirements of Green Star NZ and Homestar.

Installation and Maintenance

Dezignatek Thermoform doors are designed to be generally low maintenance; however we do have some pointers for looking after them:

While Thermoform doors and panels are water-resistant, they aren’t waterproof. Care should be taken to ensure that they don’t have excessive exposure to water, steam or extreme humidity.

Care should also be taken to protect doors from high temperatures - such as hot implements or heat leaks from faulty appliances.

Generally you should clean doors with a warm damp cloth which has had the excess water removed. Any moisture remaining after cleaning should be removed with a dry cloth.

Never use the following on your doors: abrasive cleaners, Janola or similar, scourer pads, wire wool, sand paper, or solvents and thinners.
