Product Description

One of the leading performers for Hot Water Heat Pump efficiency, Econergy uses heat pump technology to produce 60°C water. Using patented single-pass heat pump technology this split system connects to existing and new hot water cylinders.

Technical and Environmental Benefits

Installation of an Econergy for the average customer using 4,000 kWh hot water is claimed to save between 2640kWh and 3000kWh per year[1].  Econergy's systems installed to date in NZ homes are reducing the combined energy use of those homes by about 3 million kWh's annually with much of it at peak load times. Using hot water heat pumps can assist in reducing water peak power requirements on the grid [2]

[1] Based on a minimum saving of 66%, Ref Consumer Magazine, May 2009, Project Solar Modelling Report AS/NZS5125/4234 annual energy displaced 73.8% in Zone 5.
