Ensure all surfaces are clean and dry. Remove grease, dust and dirt by washing down with detergent and warm water. If mould is present treat with a proprietary mould killer and rinse off. All loose, peeling and flaking material or rust must be removed with a scraper or wire brush. Sand the surface smooth and remove all dust. Fill nail holes and cracks with a proprietary filler as per the manufacturer’s instructions. Finish sand the surface to a very high standard and remove all dust. Old glossy surfaces must be sanded to a dull finish using 180-220 grit sand paper before repainting. Apply the appropriate sealer system and allow to dry before sanding slightly. Stir paint thoroughly with a flat stirrer until contents are uniform and thoroughly mixed. Thin with up to 5% water if required. Apply 2 coats to the surface by airless spray or roller or brush. Provide adequate ventilation during use.
